Christmas Postcard with a wink at lockdown times

Exciting news! I designed a postcard for Christmas and it is now sold at Puux, a lovely café in town! Check out the photos to read the full story!
If you are here because you bought or received one of the cards (the cards have my website printed on the back), I would love to hear from you in the comment section!
This is the first time that something that I designed is available for sale and what a special idea it is that people will be sending my postcards to family and friends – I hope the quarantine elements on the cards will spread some smiles!

This story begins on a grey November day, when my friend and I picked up food at Puux, the cozy lunch café that (spoiler alert) is now selling my cards.
They had this little collection of pretty postcards on their counter, which fit my own style quite well, and after picking out a card to bring home, I started wondering:
What would it be like to add my own card to a stall like that…? Since then, I played with the idea of making something to sell.
In December, I wanted to make a quarantine holiday print for my family and friends anyway so..
I worked on the design, digitized it, and researched recycling paper print options..
encouraged by a lovely, optimistic friend who was planning to open a webshop of postcards, I decided to get some extra copies.
It took forever but the result was lovely!
In an adventuous moment, I emailed the café and asked them if they would like to sell some of my cards. They did!
Saturday December 19, I brought them five postcards and biked home wondering whether someone would notice the cards and perhaps even buy one…
An hour later I got an email that my cards were “a hit”. Even though we were close to Christmas, some customers really liked my card and asked the café for more prints. So I scraped together my last ten cards (it is a true limited edition..!) and brought them over this morning. Now waiting to see if more will be sold 🙂
